The Power Of Silence

It is very easy to give your energy to someone who doesn't deserve it. Especially when it is someone who has angered you. A lot of times we get out of character to defend ourselves, our loved ones, or a topic we are VERY passionate about.
Something I've learned over the years is: if it won't matter in 5 years, don't spend 5 minutes worrying about it. I've been in a lot of (dumb) DRAMA in the past 17 years that had no meaning whatsoever. To be honest, I don't even remember what I was arguing about it seventh grade, but I know in the moment I was making the biggest deal out of it.
The Power of Silence: Stop arguing. Stop Reacting. Start living. Start ignoring.
As aforementioned, we give so much energy to people who do NOT deserve. For example: someone making petty posts about you to get a rise out of you. The biggest weapon you can give an enemy is: silence. Not reacting angers them more than you'll ever know. Knowing that they went out of their way to cause chaos and it not being reciprocated will PISS THEM OFF more than a retaliation.
People who gain off of releasing negative energy are people who are dealing with problems internally. Arguing with you is their highlight because bringing others down brings them up (the misery is astonishing.)
My rule is: does arguing with them make you money? does arguing with them make you happy? does giving them your energy cleanse your aura? NO.. so don't do it. Next time someone tries to make you act out of character: laugh and keep it pushing.
Till next time,
